Speeches before or after the meal?

Wedding Speeches your way!

Just filmed 2 wonderful wedding videos in Kilkenny last week-end, both quite local to me.  Nicola Gleeson from Killenaule, just a few kms from Cashel, was married to John Cleere, also from Killenaule, in Moyglass Church and the reception was held in  the Kilkenny Ormonde Hote. The next day I was in Kilkenny city itself with Kelly and Brandon and their church was St Mary’s Cathedral in the heart  of  Kilkenny city  with reception in Langtons Hotel Kilkenny.  This year I am booked for  a large amount of wedding videos in the Killenaule and Mullinahone areas with Kilkenny and Tipperary being my main wedding video catchment area. I will also be back to film another wedding in Moyglass /  Killenaule this Friday!

At both of these weddings the speeches were held before the meal and I have noticed of late this trend is getting more common. I understand with hotels they have to keep the meal hot while the wedding speeches are being conducted, but from feedback from couples 70% now want their speeches before the meal. This way all involved in the speaking  can relalx and enjoy their meal knowing it’s done and dusted! It’s a great idea for  people that are not used to public speaking. Of course from the hotel’s side of things this can be a nightmare! The bride and groom tell the hotel they will only be 15 minutes but I have see this 15 mins drag on to an hour!  The poor chef is doing his best to stop the veg from sticking to the pans, so i can understand why the hotels frown on this!  If your speeches are going to be before the meal tell the hotel this and stay to an agreed time-frame – this way your guests won’t be eating cold food and all will be happy.

The traditional scenario of having the speeches after the meal is fine as well, but think of the groom & best man and also the dads  all  sitting there eating their meal thinking the speeches have to be done soon – it can and will put them off their meal.

Getting back to recent weddings: Saturday’s wedding reception was in Langtons Hotel  in Kilkenny.  The couple arrived at the hotel after the photo shoot in Butler House and Kilkenny Castle with their photographer  John Delaney Photography.  Sean, the manager  at the hotel who is a fantastic guy, was happy to see the couple arrive at the hotel early as their speeches were being held before the meal, so this worked out great for all concerned.

Your local Wedding Videography Service in Kilkenny
Your local Wedding Videography Service in Kilkenny

Friday’s wedding was in Moyglass  and the reception was in the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel.  Again after the church we went to Butler House and Kilkenny Castle for the family photos and their photographer was local man  Eamonn McGee  from Thurles in Tipperary.  Once again when we arrived to the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel every thing was done with the photographs  and this is what the hotel wants when the speeches are before the meal.  The couple had time to mingle with their guests, whereas often they  don’t get time to meet people until later after the meal.  I tend to recommend to couples  when they ask to book my wedding videography services here in Kilkenny that they should give themselves about 1 hour with their guests  before the meal is served as often I have seen couples arrive to the hotel from the photo session only to be rushed into the dining room as its so late and their plans to have the speeches before the meal have to be abandoned.

But what ever you decide for your speeches …. enjoy your day.  ~  Joe

Merry Christmas from Wedding videographers Kilkenny

Merry Christmas from Wedding videographers Kilkenny

Thank YouWell, it’s that time of year again, when I look back and say a big thank you to all my customers, and of course my friends the wedding suppliers we have met throughout the year, and, of course to the hotels that have looked after us and feed us along the way. It’s been a great year for weddings, along with other video work. This time of the year, it’s school show after school show most nights of the week! Cashel. Tipperary Town, Clonmel schools, Shows in Kilkenny of course and of course a few in Waterford. It’s great to see the pupils perform, both for the camera and, of course, their teachers and parents. Each year, it’s great to get the phone call or the e-mail opening with “Please, Joe, tell us you’re free to video our show again this year. The parents and the children are still raving about last year’s production you captured for us, so, it’s a job well done!” and the  nice part is I never had to go chase a job, below is just a little Christmas jingle I uploaded enjoy…

Getting back to weddings over 2015. All of my weddings were local to me this year. When I say local, I mean Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Limerick ,and not forgetting, Tipperary. 80% were from recommendations and it’s great to be called back to the same family for their son’s or daughter’s wedding along the way. I have been very fortunate with my results on Google of late, being number one for wedding videos. Tipperary and Kilkenny !  It’s not easy getting time to blog and to make samples with all the editing and filming, but as I say on my page it costs me nothing to to send out a full demo to a couple which I do 95% of the time, this way the couple can see and get a feel for my work in its full glory and not a special made up snippet you might see on a website, my full wedding demos are FULL weddings, with full permission of the couple involved, not a 4 min highlight of a bight sunny day!  My wife and special effects editor, Breda, makes sure all the weddings I film are ready for the couple when they arrive back from honeymoon, I hear horror story’s regarding other videographers not having a wedding video ready for months after the wedding! I feel its very unfair to the couple that has paid for a service and have to wait that long… these guys seem a bit bogged down to me! The same with my shows, only last year I filmed a Christmas show in Newport 3 days before they got their Christmas Holidays Breda starting editing it the morning after and I was making copy’s and boxing the DVDs that night to deliver the next day, and of course I was called back to film this years show next Wednesday night   That’s the great thing about working as a team, ths  way, it’s fresh in their minds and they can relive it all over again with family and friends over the Christmas holidays well I like to say…  When you’re professional you’re professional, and that’s the way to do business.

Civil ceremonies In Kilkenny – Kilshane House

Civil ceremonies In Kilkenny and all over Ireland have become very popular in recent times. As a popular wedding videographer here in Tipperary and Kilkenny  I am well acquainted with filming civil ceremonies and  civil partnerships, so a visit to  Kilshane House for a civil ceremony  near Tipperary Town lately was just another day at the office for me but a very special day for Cora and Ivan. They were a lovely couple and fantastic to work with from start to finish.  Here is a clip from their day in Kilshane house.

Cora and Ivan celebrated their wedding day with a large number of family and friends at Kilshane.  I am sure that all Tipperary videographers would agree that for a  civil ceremony, Kilshane is Tipperary’s Number One venue.

This fantastic hotel will give you all you need and more.  It is an elegant and spacious Regency house built in 1822 situated at the end of a half-mile long driveway. It is the centre-piece of 320 acres of private parkland which includes a trout river, a remarkable Victorian landscaped garden with a man-made lake, huge noble trees, grassy expanses and the unique Tipperary sky. A large and handsome conservatory circa 1860 is ideal for a glass or two of champagne, or a champagne reception under glass. Enjoy an intimate dinner in a private room off the Conservatory… or an elegant dinner in the formal dining room…or fine dining on a grand scale in the Orangerie.

This Wedding story began with Cora getting ready at the hotel the morning of their wedding, on one of  our few sunny days this year. The Hotel makes you feel relaxed the moment you come through their doors.  After the ceremony the photo session took place in the grounds of this great house, which  has a beautiful lake situated half way up the drive.  It is  ideal for wedding footage and photos alike.  It was a pleasure to have been asked to be part of their wedding day, and as I have filmed lots of weddings in the hotel I know all the nice areas to capture a couple’s day in style

With this lovely couple we went to the lake for their wedding shoot.  It was an abundance of colour with  wild flowers and trees, and the old boat house in the background made for some great footage as you will see in the clip. They were a lovely relaxed couple and really enjoyed their photographs being taken, which makes it easier for  us all!  As with all wedding videos it’s at this time that we get the time to be creative and make the couple’s DVD something to stand out from the rest.  I really enjoy trying new angles and exposure to bring out the best in the location as again you will see in the clip

Editing was so much fun on this wedding as I had loads of fantastic footage to work with, from start to finish.  Again, this is very inportant when filming a wedding as it really gives me so much more to chose from – one thing I don’t like is to scrimp on footage, after all it’s YOUR day.

It’s Summer-time!

Kilkenny weddings Summer-time
Kilkenny weddings and its Summer-time

It’s finally feeling like Summer-time, and I must confess as a wedding videographer here in Kilkenny, this is one of my favourite times of the year. In terms of filming, I am given much greater scope for filming the outdoors. Filming is made easier by the fact that the bridal party can spill out into the grounds of their wedding venue, at ease and relaxed in the summer heat. I pride myself on filming my wedding parties in a discreet manner, a skill I have been working on for years. When the wedding guests come out into the sunshine, they relax and my job is made that little bit easier and even more pleasurable. When the sun shines, everyone unwinds, their shoulders drop, and they smile and enjoy the day that little bit more. The extra hours of sunlight also mean I have a bigger window to obtain great footage.

Get ready for 2016

Naturally, summer-time is my busiest time of year. If you’ve recently become engaged, now is a great time to start making preparations if you intend to marry in summer 2016. My diary for next year is filling up quickly, so I think it’s best to prepare as much in advance as possible, which will also minimise stress during preparations. Competition for venues and churches is greatest at this time of year, so you will need to start putting plans and ideas together, and make bookings soon. It may seem obvious to most but here are a few great reasons for booking a summer wedding for 2016.
                                                             Let’s Go Outside!

New Park Hotel Kilkenny

In recent years I’ve watched many young couples make the most of the summer weather by moving their celebrations outdoors. This is a great way to keep expenses down and can create a wonderfully relaxed and casual feel to the day. Despite it being summer-time, our weather in Ireland is not always dependable. However, having a wedding in summer-time can give you greater freedom in terms of choosing a wedding venue. Outdoor weddings are still not licensed in Ireland, but if you are having a civil ceremony at a hotel or registered venue, you may consider venturing into the grounds of the venue for the entire reception or once the meal and speeches have ended. Summer-time can give you greater creative freedom in terms of choosing a venue. Most hotels will have maintained their gardens well and at this time of year they will be in full bloom and looking their best.

I’ve filmed wonderful family weddings held in the grounds belonging to the bride’s parents. Marquees are becoming increasingly popular and can be borrowed or rented and erected in the back garden. This works particularly well for smaller weddings and is a great way to help keep your wedding under budget. The only possible downside is that the party can go on until the small hours of the morning! And with all that space, you’ll easily be able to accommodate your evening guests as well. When planning your garden, don’t forget you’ll need a generator and lights for the evening-time!

Summer-time weddings tend to have a greater turn-out. More of your guests will be free to book time off work and they will be booking time off work anyway. The kids will off school, so families won’t be tied to the school calendar either. Family members who are living abroad are more likely to travel for a summer wedding and will make the trip their summer vacation. So you will have greater freedom to choose a week-day for your wedding and be less restricted to choosing a Saturday.

Get Creative!

Having your reception outdoors can put your creativity to the test. Recently I filmed a wedding reception in a marquee and the bride had decorated the inside with bunches of flowers called baby’s breath, Bristol fairy, or its proper name – Gypsphila. This delicate flower has been popular for as long as I can remember, but now more than ever it has become extremely popular – now it is used for bouquets and centre-pieces simply on its own. The result was fabulous and an inexpensive option. Summer weddings have a much larger colour palette and so give great freedom of expression in terms of colour – summer wedding really pop with colour, usually the brighter and bolder the better. I’ve also noticed brides and grooms becoming more creative over the summer months by wearing outfits slightly less conventional, for example – brightly coloured evening shoes and jewellery for the bride and coloured braces for the groom.

Great video and photos

The summer weather means, we can travel together to great locations for filming after the ceremony and with our incredible landscapes here in Tipperary, we really our spoiled so we should make the most of them. I’ve filmed some beautiful scenes of the married couple walking through a meadow or down a path beside a stream. These are only a few of ideas for filming during summer! If you want to discuss your wedding ideas for filming your wedding, please get in touch and we can have a chat. If you would like to know more about choosing a wedding videographer you can read more about what I do here.

Churches in Kilkeny
Churches in Kilkenny

Throughout my career as a wedding videographer in Kilkenny, I have had the pleasure of filming and witnessing many poignant and emotional wedding ceremonies. Certain details from the day may remain with me and stand out in my memory, such as a sincerely spoken prayer or blessing. When I see the guests are silent, contemplative, with heads bowed down in the many Kilkenny Churches as they listen intently, I sense how the prayer has struck a chord, helping to bring everyone together in thought for that moment.

Traditional Irish prayers and blessings can help bring this quality of intimacy to yourwedding ceremony. And as they are traditional they are also loaded with nostalgia. Perhaps the guests will remember their grandparents saying them long ago, and hearing them again will evoke old memories.

Your choice of prayers and blessings is your opportunity to personalise and bring greater meaning to your ceremony. Choosing a favourite blessing from a grandparent or loved one who may not be present creates a thoughtful and heart-felt expression of remembrance for your ceremony. (The very last blessing is the most famous and also a personal favourite of mine). And of course I can capture all of these wonderful moments as I film your wedding. With my small, compact camera and zoom lens, I can capture these moments close up for you to cherish and remember your wedding day for many years to come.

I got some fantastic news early this morning when I was informed I had reached the finals of the Mrs2Be Brides’ Choice Awards 2015 ( Recognising the best of the Irish wedding industry)! But as I said in an earlier blog it it’s not the winning for me … it would be nice, don’t get me wrong, but every wedding video I film whether it be in Tipperary, Kilkenny, Carlow or any of the multitude of other locations I attend, I always give it 110%.  Every bride and groom has different ideas for their wedding video, it may be the music they choose or the way they want it filmed – each couple is unique.  So when i am booked for a wedding I put a lot of planning into it well before the day, this way from the bride’s house to the first dance I know what’s expected of me – after all, it’s their day.

Abbey Video weddings - wedding video Kilkenny
Abbey Video weddings

The guests arriving is a very important part of filming as this is something the bride only gets to see on DVD later.  The music in the church, the service, the vows, the walk down the aisle as husband & wife – these are all key points. With regards to the music in the Church, I like to leave a wireless microphone or a professional voice recorder near the musicians  to capture the audio 100%.  Sound is just as important as picture, this is why I always use a wireless mic or voice recorder discreetly placed in the groom’s pocket to pick up the vows and this is removed right away outside the door after the ceremony.  The greeting line is a great way to formally meet your guests after the wedding. The bride’s house is a great place to start filming, with all the make-up and the hair being done it can be great fun.  It’s a part of the day the groom doesn’t get to see so it’s nice for him to be able to view this later on their finished wedding DVD.  The groom’s house sometimes gets filmed but this all depends on timing on the day, as i like to be at the ceremony location one hour before it starts – this time is needed to film the location, the flowers and all the little details in the Church or room where the ceremony is taking place.

The photograph session is a fantastic opportunity for me to capture some great video footage.  I don’t just film what the photographer is doing but more of a candid covering of the bridal party and their families if they are there as well. If not I will capture them at the hotel. I enjoy filming the guests discreetly in the hotel enjoying the drinks reception, this way i get a great chance to catch up with some late-comers!  From there on I film the speeches, which lately tend to take place before the meal – it’s nice to relax and enjoy your meal once they are over and done with!  The dancing is filmed discreetly with no light if possible or just a small light on the camera if I need it.  Your wedding will end with a highlights chapter looking back over your day.
We have often been complimented on our turn-around time – we try to have the finished product ready when the couple return from honeymoon. I have read and heard of other couples not receiving their wedding DVDs for months, this can happen where only one person is working on a project and gets snowed under. It doesn’t end there… now the hard work starts!  The editing can take two days to to complete, but my wife Breda is a pro at this: various effects, titles, adding music, authoring and chaptering the final product, testing design sleeves for the covers of the boxes and the art work on the discs – it’s easy to see where two days goes here!

On a final note, getting back to the Mrs2Be Brides’ Choice Awards 2015, I would like to wish all the Finalists the very best of luck. kilkenny wedding venues

Well, after a hat trick of a weekend – that’s 3 weddings back to back! – its nice to relax on a Sunday evening and do a little blogging. Thursday’s wedding video in Kilkenny was a fantastic day, I would think its 50/ 50 with wedding videos in Kilkenny and in my own county of Tipperary,  I have always been lucky enough to be filming a large amount of weddings in both county’s but of late Kilkenny is very popular with a large number of couples booked in for  2015 and  2016  so happy days!    OK, I know I crossed over the border into county Kilkenny for the wedding of  Allison & Brian, but it was worth it. I started filming at Allison’s home that morning, just off the Kilkenny-Mullinahone road, to  capture the girls getting ready for the big day. It’s a great way to start a wedding video as its shows where it all begins. The girls were well on the way to looking great when I arrived and, with Allison getting her dress on, I left for the church to find the lads. The day was lovely with blue skies and everyone was in fantastic form and looking forward to the wedding. Brian arrived with the lads close by.  I had a bit of banter about Tipperary and Kilkenny with the famous hurler and his groomsman, Tommy Walsh. But, as I was in their turf, I left it well enough alone 🙂  St. John’s Church was the venue with Fr Sean O Connor who I meet  quite a lot  while  filming wedding videos in Kilkenny. He is very nice, easy to work with and great fun as well.

Abbey Video | Kilkenny

Their photographer for the day was the famous  John McIlwaine I have worked with John on many famous weddings in and around Kilkenny. John is a fantastic and famous sports photographer all over Ireland and Allison & Brian wanted no one else to capture their day. John is so easy to work with and is like lightning to capture those all important shots of the day. As Brian and the  lads were being lined  up for their photographs, I was capturing their guests arriving. I have seen quite a lot of large weddings in my time, but this one was the biggest I have seen so far. The guests were from all over the globe; of course, Kilkenny – Tipperary, I’m not so sure – but USA, Australia and lots more far off places. The couple asked to stream live over the net so that some of their friends abroad could see, so Fr. Sean got  the guests to turn around and wave at the camera that was placed at the back of the church. This went down very well.

Kilkenny wedding videoThe couple chose Langton’s hotel in the heart of  Kilkenny city to have their reception. Again, I have never seen this hotel looking so well and so packed. Even the outer area of the hotel function room had places set for guests to sit at. I like to be at the hotel before the couple arrive. This way, I get to film the guests enjoying the food and drink the bride and groom have put on for their  guests. As it was a lovely day, all of the guests were outside enjoying themselves with a musician entertaining them while they awaited the couple’s arrival. This is just part of the “set” as its called in Langton’s hotel. It’s a magnificent set up and well worth a visit as there are lots of popular shows on around this time of year. Bridie’s Bar is always a big hit with weddings in Kilkenny to have a photograph taken outside with the old bicycle. Sean was on hand to look after the bride and groom for the evening and he is always so helpful on the day.

A short time later, the bell rang for the guests to enter the dining room. What a fabulous job the staff made of the function room. Allison chose to carry out the speeches before the meal. This has become very popular with weddings in Tipperary, Kilkenny and Carlow. It’s a great way because the lads can enjoy their meal knowing the speeches are over and they can relax. I also find its handy for us video guys as well. Also, the guests are awaiting their dinner and are a lot more alert to the speeches. It’s well worth a thought for you brides and grooms to have the speeches before the meal.

Wedding video Kilkenny - Tipperary
Wedding Video Kilkenny – Tipperary

Another great idea the couple had was the famous singing chef, whom I have often filmed before. He really entertains the guests with his singing and music. Again, well worth that little bit extra to hire him. You can find all of these Tipperary and Munster wedding suppliers on our sister website, Brides in Munster. Uptown Band was on hand to rock the night away as soon as the floor was clear. Such a professional band, they were set up and ready with the first dance at 9:30, which all weddings should be. As I have often said, bands can be expensive, so let’s get the money’s worth. I have often seen bands take 2 hours to set up and, again, often the first dance starts at 11p.m, which is way too late. People get tired of waiting  around especially after a heavy meal. The dancing is a way to work it off! So thanks again to Allison & Brian for choosing  Abbey Video Productions to capture their special day as we like to say Tipperary’s and of course Kilkenny’s  most  Professional Affordable Unobtrusive  wedding videographer   ~  Joe

If you’ve been following my blog weddings in Kilkenny for a while now, you’ll know I love to help inspire young couples to get creative with their wedding videos. Top 5 Wedding Video Ideas First visit?

Hello! I’m Joe, a wedding videographer covering  Tipperary & Kilkenny  and further afield.  In this blog post I’ll be sharing some great ideas I’ve had for wedding videos, but maybe you’d like to find out more about me, read testimonials, or information on prices and packages first? I’ll wait for you…

I am full of ideas for wedding videos and will share a few of them here with you. Many of them naturally deal with the wedding ceremony itself, but there is an endless variety of creative and original ways of filming your wedding such as Rock the Frock. This time however, I’ve taken things one step further…

  1. Wedding invitations!

Let’s think outside the box, and think about wedding invitations. No, not your regular paper invitation that fits neatly into an envelope. I’m thinking of a real, live, walking and talking invitation. Have you ever thought of being filmed as you personally invite your guests to your wedding? Just imagine, we could film you in your living room or during a candle-lit dinner, you then turn to the camera and announce the date. Perhaps you won’t be able to contain your giggles, but that’s all part of the fun. I think your friends will be enthralled with this fun invitation and eagerly anticipate your wedding day i have put together a wedding supplies website dedicated to your wedding day.

  1. Save the date

Recently I filmed a couple as they announced their engagement and then I made copies for their close friends and relatives which they then posted. Of course they had to keep their engagement top secret or else the news would spread like wildfire and ruin the surprise. The young bride told me about the look of surprise on her aunt’s face as she watched the DVD and realised that is was a wedding invitation & idea’s munster. She was overjoyed and now they are all very excited about the wedding.

  1. A DVD as wedding favour

This provides another opportunity where you can become as creative as you like. We could make what appears to be a music video of the two of you walking along a beach with your favourite song playing in the background. Or if you are not comfortable talking to the camera, we could do a black and white movie (think of a Charlie Chaplin movie) with subtitles to thank everyone and at the end the groom steals a cheeky kiss!

    Thank you video.

This is another very personal and thoughtful way of using video, where you can personally thank your guests for attending your wedding in Tipperary, and to thank friends and family for all their support and help during the preparations. I filmed a hilarious video recently, where the lively couple did a rap, at times it was hard to keep the camera still, but I managed as I am professional after all. All the relatives were highly amused as they watched this together. This particular video was filmed in advance and then shown to guests towards the end of the evening of the actual wedding day. The ingratiated couple enjoyed a huge round of applause from their wedding guests and a few staff.

  1. Game show.

This idea is perhaps not for the faint of heart, and may not appeal to the more demure bride, but would be fantastic if you’re out to have as much fun as possible on your wedding day and want to entertain your guests. A pre-filmed game show where the bride and groom compete is guaranteed to get the maximum amount of laughs from your guests. Perhaps you’ve seen the Abbey Video on Facebook of the young couple who mimic Ant n’ Dec? This crazy couple have inspired many wedding videos along a similar theme and recently I’ve had a few enquiries about filming videos along a similar theme idea’s.

My calendar has nearly reached full capacity, however I still have a couple of slots available in November, and a handful in mid-week. We can’t believe how we’ve already received so many bookings to film weddings & family events for spring and summer 2015 / 16. Young couples are becoming increasingly more organised and planning every aspect of their wedding further in advance in order to secure the best services and manage costs. I think this is very sensible as I do get booked up early. I hate to disappoint, especially when a couple have received a great recommendation and their hearts are set on using Abbey Video Productions   numerous Packages available.

So if you like what you see, please get in contact soon! We can meet for a casual chat over coffee, where of course you will not feel obligated or pressured into choosing Abbey Video to film your wedding day. If you have any questions at all, drop me a line or email and we can talk about bringing your ideas to life.

That’s about all for now, but I’ll be back soon with more ideas and thoughts from the world of wedding videography.

Why you need a Videographer

What is the most common thing you hear people say at the end of their wedding day? I can remember saying it at the end of my own wedding day.

‘I can’t believe it’s all over’.

At almost every wedding I have filmed within Tipperary and Kilkenny , towards the end of the day, I have overheard the bride or groom mutter something along the lines of ‘I can’t believe the day has gone by so fast’. I’m sorry to say it, but it’s true. On your wedding day you will be so busy having fun and mingling with your friends and guests whom you haven’t seen for a long time, that the day will absolutely fly. You will be in high demand and everyone will want to speak with you and wish you well. Of course, you will not need to worry about me, I will quietly go about my business while you enjoy a great day.

Now, I want you to think of the months and months of careful planning and effort that go into planning your wedding day. Think of how long it is taking to plan your guest list, how long it takes to choose your wedding dress. What type of flowers are you having in the church? Are you having wedding favours or donating to charity? Are the flower girls having fresh flowers in their hair? Think about the huge amount of time and effort you are putting into the preparations and the finer details.

If you really want to cherish and relive all of these memories as vividly as possible, the best way to do so is by having a videographer present on the day. It is a shame to risk forgetting all the finer details, a reflection of your joint efforts, passion and creativity.

Having a videographer at your wedding will also give you an opportunity to witness moments when you were not present and can answer questions about how others were feeling that day.Such as ‘How was the groom before I arrived at the church? Was he as nervous as me?’

What was the atmosphere like at the church before I arrived?’How was the father of the bride on the morning of the wedding?’Brides In Munster, Latest Wedding News Tipperary, Videographers Tipperary, Wedding DVD Cashel, Civil marriage ceremonies , Wedding Video Ballykisteen Hotel, Wedding Videographer Tipperary Wedding Videographer Tipperary – WaterfordThe atmosphere in the bride’s home, the morning of the wedding can be incredibly exciting and can only be captured by a videographer. I’m sure you’ll agree if you have experienced it before. I feel humbled to be able to share and recreate the mood of that morning – sheer excitement and nerves before the big event.

Another favourite moment I will never tire of filming, is the expression on the grooms face when he sees his bride for the first time as she enters the church. Equally brilliant is the moment when the bride and groom walk down the aisle hand in hand, with a look of pure exhilaration and relief that the difficult part is over and now they can relax a little and enjoy the rest of the day. There are so many wonderful moments worth catching to be seen again and again.

Wedding video Carlow

As you may well know, I have been dedicated to this industry for some time, (for twenty years in fact!) I have filmed weddings in Tipperary Kilkenny Carlow, Cork, Waterford and beyond, and in those years I have developed a keen sense of what is important. I appreciate which crucial moments from the ceremony really need to be filmed, I know how to best record the finer details. I know when a big, fat close up is needed and when to hang back to observe the crowd; and most importantly of all, because of my years in training, I can put all of this into practice to create an artistic and beautifully flowing wedding DVD.
